Bamboo Page (B&B Building, 60 Lane 850 Lang Street, Lang Ward, Hanoi 10000, Vietnam; hello@bamboopage.com) builds website previews for small shops and contacts them to offer the site.

What I collect

Only business information that the shop has made public: business name, address, opening hours, business phone, email, WhatsApp number and social media accounts, prices and photos the shop posted itself. Sources are Google Maps and the shop's own public pages (website, Instagram, Facebook, booking pages such as Fresha or Treatwell). For UK shops I also check the company register at Companies House. If you use the request form on this site, I also store the details you send (see "Requests you send us" below).

Why, and on what legal basis

To build a preview of a website for the shop and send the owner one message with the link, plus up to three short follow-ups. The legal basis is legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): offering a relevant service to a business. Balancing test: the data is business contact information the shop published for customers to reach it; each shop is contacted individually, at most four times over about four weeks; every message says how to stop; and in the UK I only contact limited companies and LLPs, not sole traders. This paragraph covers shops I find myself; details you send through the request form are used because you asked for a preview, not because they were public.

How long I keep it

If the shop does not become a client, its data is deleted within 12 months of the last message. If you ask me not to contact you again, I keep only your business name, phone number or email on a do-not-contact list so that you are never contacted again.

Requests you send us

If you fill in the request form on this site, I store the shop name, the link, the contact details you give and the time you sent it, so I can build a preview and get back to you. It is stored with Cloudflare and deleted automatically after 12 months. Email hello@bamboopage.com to have it deleted sooner.

Your choices

Reply STOP to any message, or email hello@bamboopage.com, and I will not contact you again. You can also ask for a copy of the data I hold about your business, or ask me to delete it; I reply within one month. UK businesses can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk); Singapore businesses to the Personal Data Protection Commission (pdpc.gov.sg).

Data is stored on my computer and with Cloudflare (website hosting). I do not sell or share it.
